University Grants Commission, UGC NET 2022 Exam for the merged cycles of December 2021 and June 2022 will be conducted in the month of June. The UGC National Eligibility Test, UGC NET 2022 Exam is likely to be conducted in the first or second week of June.
The examination will be conducted in a computer-based mode. Candidates who wish to appear for the UGC NET examination 2022 can check the information bulletin which will be available on the agency’s official website.
About UGC NET
The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility of Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship or both, for Indian Universities and Colleges.
The UGC-NET Exam is conducted twice every year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UGC has decided to merge the cycles of the exam and conduct it once a year. The UGC National Eligibility Test, UGC NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility of Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship or both in various Indian Universities and Colleges.
Awarding of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/ or Eligibility for Assistant Professorship depends on the aggregate performance of the candidate in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not to be considered for the awarding of JRF. Candidates who qualify the eligibility test for Assistant Professorship are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.
Scheme of UGC NET Law Entrance Exam
Test will comprise of two papers
- Paper-I (General) 100 marks [50 questions]
- Paper-II (Law) 200 Marks [100 questions]
The final dates and schedule for the UGC NET 2022 exam in June are yet to be announced by NTA. UGC NET 2022 Exam Date will be announced by NTA once the schedule is ready.
